A remote or "Help" session is when a tech from a distance enters your computer to fix a problem. To start a remote session you need to have a VPN or a program that allows the technician to get into your computer. To get the program click the Team Viewer Icon below and follow the instructions.
What is a virus?

"A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer. The term "virus" is also commonly but erroneously used to refer to other types of malware, including but not limited to; adware and spyware programs that do not have the reproductive ability. A true virus can spread from one computer to another (in some form of executable code) when its host is taken to the target computer. For instance, because a user sent it over a network or the Internet, or carried it on a removable mediums such as a flash drives or disks."


What does this mean to you?

A virus, and or malware is a malicious program that is written to harm your computer or steal your data. There are many different kinds of virus and malware. The most common are called rogue antivirus programs, and trojans. This type of program tries to get you to enter your credit card information claiming that your computer is full of viruses and you need to buy their program to get rid of them. In reality they are the virus and are trying to steal your information. Stolen data can result in them stealing your credit card information, banking numbers, and in some cases even your identity.
It is very important that you have good up to date virus protection. Virus hide in the internet, in emails, and nowadays even in legitimate websites. Some of the viruses are imbedded in advertising banners and all that you have to do is go to the website and you have the virus.


What should you do when a pop up comes up saying you have virus and you can have a free scan?


First thing that you do is quickly unplug your computer because if you click on anything you will be allowing the virus to take control of your computer. Most of the time this will stop the virus, DO NOT GO BACK TO THAT SITE!
